Moonshine Memories™ is the latest division of Rose Tree Original©, Andrea Harper Kuznicki's sewing and quilting business started in 2003. Specializing in nostalgic quilts that are true in spirit to the Upstate South Carolina where Andrea has lived most of her life, Moonshine Memories Quilts style is staying true to Rose Tree Original's signature feel of "Vintage Style with A Modern Attitude"©.
These beautiful works of fabric art are quickly becoming known for their unique, one-of-a-kind nature, and embuing a sense of warmth and cozy nostalgia to their satisfied new owners. They are dedicated to those of our local ancestors who worked hard, drove fast, and made "mountain spirits"... and now who do it legally by way of the wonderful new Dark Corner Distillery in downtown Greenville, exclusive Greenville retail location for Moonshine Memories Quilts.
I have 2 sweet dogs in my home... although they are not allowed in my sewing area, and I wash the quilts last thing before it leaves the house, I cannot guarantee that you won't get a free Marty or Ballenger hair. Those highly allergic to pet hair, please contact me for a custom order, and I will arrange to make your quilt at someone's house who doesn't have pets.
The batting I buy for my quilts, is "Crafted with Pride in the USA" but I use so many different fabrics I can't guarantee where many of them come from. I do buy some new fabrics, (and of course, the backing and batting are all new materials), but I use a lot of vintage fabric and repurposed clothing in my quilts too.
Although I can't guarantee where all fabrics are from, I can 100% assure that my quilts are made, from design and drafting patterns, to the final quilting and everything in between, right here in South Carolina. I do all of it myself at this point, with the rare exception of hiring out the longarm quilting for huge bed quilts to a retired lady who lives nearby and does a beautiful job on the ones that are too large for me to do on my machine.
